Wow… Yesterday I was talking to a friend and made the statement “when we get to Italy next year…” and then it dawned on me… We will be in Italy THIS year Lord willing! I am thankful the day is close where we can begin sharing and living the gospel in Italy.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)
Recently our sending church’s children’s ministry held a fundraiser to help pay for our plane tickets to Italy next year. They called it “Let’s Boot the Barone’s out of the Country” Our awareness team did an incredible job promoting this event each week as well as encouraging the kids to do what they could to raise money for the offering.
When we got back in town, the kids presented us with a check for $2010! Oh what God can do even through 1st-6th graders! It never ceases to amaze me how God uses anyone with a willing heart to give even beyond their power!

Village Baptist Church is Pastored by Dave Ritz, who graduated from same Bible school I did and was a long time member of our home church. I was very excited to have received an invitation from him to present at his church! Unfortunately, with the kids battling so much sickness Erika and the girls were unable to enjoy this church with me! Excellent church! Pastor Ritz told me that the church was in a position to add new missionaries in the next few months and Lord willing one of those families will be us!
I have been in the hospital for three days because I am really sick. Tomorrow is a big day for me with lots of tests. If they figure out what is wrong with me the doctor said I can go home Saturday. If the tests do not help… I am here for at least another week.

Calvary Baptist Church has a problem. A good problem. They have way too many people coming for the size of their auditorium. Pastored by Steve Robertson, the church has really grown and thus was an exciting church to present in.
During the Sunday evening service - they had our girls come up and sit on the stage. One by one people started coming up to the platform with wrapped gifts. The girls got to open all kinds of DVDs and other treats!
Tonight at Grace Baptist Church, I present our ministry in front of the man who won me to Christ (Missionary Kevin Pestke) and Pastor Billy Wood, who preached the message that caused me to surrender to be a missionary. I am not sure that I have ever been more excited to present our ministry than I have been about tonight.
